Queering Yoga

Queering Yoga is about doing yoga differently. It's about creating a safe space for those of us that do not always feel comfortable in a typical yoga setting, whether it is because of body size, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, race, cultural identity, income level, trauma experiences, or any reason at all. As a trauma psychotherapist and certified yoga teacher, Sunyata will tailor class sequences, language, and the environment to meet the individual needs of students in the best way possible. Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of class if there are particular needs you wish to discuss separately with Sunyata.

This class is sliding scale from $5-$15.

Kids Yoga

Using a creative mix of storytelling, yoga philosophy and vibrant asanas, I lead classes of K-2 students of KIPP Victory school in St. Louis, MO into a deeper sense of peace. Yoga has been found to have numerous benefits in schools around the world, including increasing student attention, pro-social behavior, and general mental and physical health. This class is done in partnership with The Oxygen Project, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to bringing yoga to undeserved youth.
